I love sandwiches – Veggie Sandwich on Whole Wheat

So we picked up a new bread maker and I am so excited.  I really love to eat bread but hate long list of ingredients in commercially produced bread.  With the diary allergy in the family we always have to watch the ingredients list for milk proteins or what type of equipment it is produced on. I really love sandwiches and could not wait to use the fresh baked whole wheat bread we made last night to eat all of the yummy leftover veggies from last night’s dinner.

Great Veggie Sandwich
2 slices whole wheat home baked bread, toasted
2 T hummous (leftover from the Middle Eastern Restaurant from Saturday night)
1 grilled portobello mushroom
2 slices grilled zucchini
3 grilled asparagus
3 slices of grilled onion
baby lettuce from thinning out my newly started garden
